Norwood Lawn Bowling Club is a privately operated club with a membership of approximately 65 men and women. Bowling takes place on Tues, Thurs & Sat @ 1:00 PM Mon and Wed @ 7:00 PM We have a "Fun Day" on every holiday throughout the summer. Teams are NOT predetermined. When you arrive you draw a number which places you on a team. Attend whenever it is convenient! |
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO GET STARTED? Most important is a pair of running shoes (no heels allowed). Bowls are provided for new members by the club. Instruction is also available at all times. We offer a "New Member Incentive" of two for the price of one membership. Fees are very affordable at approximately $60.00. Come out and bring a friend ! Junior Bowlers (under 21) are especially wanted ! ! |
We are affiliated with Bowls Manitoba. Provincial Championships are held for Men and Women in Singles, Pairs, Fours, Mixed Pairs and Seniors (60 years and over). |
COMPETITIONS: For those athletes wishing some competition, there are many tournaments during the season. There is a special tournament for first and second year bowlers! There is also an InterClub game each week where a team of Fours plays against another club. New members are encouraged to participate! |
Our season gets underway in early May on the artificial surface in Dakota Park. Instruction will be provided. Just call one of the executive listed above, or arrive early on our regular bowling days!
